Dear Grand Friends,
I am blessed to share with you some exciting news! Recently, I was asked by Bishop John Fenwick, the Bishop of the Diocese of Northern England, to come to his diocese as a short-term missionary through SAMS (Society of Anglican Missionaries and Senders). I will be continuing the work of Pass the Legacy Ministry as I share the light of Christ to grandparents. My home base will be in Preston. For two months (March, April, 2020), I will lead devotions at local senior homes, lead studies based on my book, Pass the Legacy: 7 Keys for Grandparents Making a Difference,minister one-on-one to grandparents and speak occasionally throughout the Diocese.
I am sending this letter to you for two reasons. First, I greatly need your prayers. Leaving my family and community to go alone to a foreign country is exciting but daunting. How do I speak to these people so that we connect and I can share the love of Christ with them. How do I make my American book applicable to a British congregation? How will this southern gal stay warm? Your prayers are greatly needed and appreciated. Are you willing to pray for me — both before I go and while I am there?
Secondly, I need to raise $4200 by December 31, 2019, to cover my flights and living expenses. Asking for donations is not within my comfort zone. But I trust the Lord to provide what has been determined as my budget. I also trust the Lord to tell you if He is calling you to partner with me in this journey by financial support.

It is with a pounding heart that I invite you to share in this opportunity with me. The Lord tugged at my heart a decade ago to go to the people of England where less than 2% profess to be Christian.
